The Mohawks N'Gai and Todd were sporting added a little style to the evening that was the Raiders' game from start to finish. WSU played man-to-man most of the game and Central Michigan showed the Raiders a zone most of the night. This resulted in the Raiders shooting 20 three's for the game and making 9.

Vaughn entered the game to applause from the crowd of 5588 at 16:37 of the first half and a minute later he hit his first basket - a drive to the basket. VD was back. He played aggressive and smart for 31 minutes tonight.

Todd Brown was equally strong tonight in 29 minutes of action, scoring 20 points including 4 of 6 three-pointers and 6 of 6 from the free throw line.

N'Gai struggled after making the first basket of the game and after missing two straight three pointers, went to the bench. It was shortly after this that Todd Brown caught fire and drained three three-pointers at 11:20, 10:28 and 9:45. He hit his fourth three in the first half at the 6:07 make to give WSU a 30-18.

The Raiders finished the first half with a 12 point lead, 38-26. At the half, rebounds were mostly even - a slight 18-17 CMU edge. WSU had 6 TOs and CMU had 9. CMU held a big edge in second chance points, 10-2. WSU's bench outscored CMU's bench 17-4.

CMU opened the second half scoring but a couple of basket's by Cory got the Raiders back on track. Cory's second basket was a powerful fast break dunk off a Duggin's assist. A couple minutes later Todd Brown had an power jam to give WSU a 47-33 lead.

With a little less the 12 minutes left in the game, Cooper Land got into the scoring column with a big three point basket off a Duggin's assist (51-36). A couple minutes later Cooper hit another three and at the 6:40 mark, drives strong to the basket for two more plus a free throw (58-40).

The game was over at this point and only the final score of 69-53 was left to be decided.

Both teams shot horribly - WSU 38% and CMU 32%. CMU held a 38-30 edge on the boards . WSU bench continued to dominate (34-12) while CMU had 16 second chance points to WSU's 4.

Duggins had a great night with 5-8 FG shooting, 9-10 FT shooting, 5 assists and 2 steals.

The score was never tied and WSU never trailed. All in all a good win for the Raiders on Todd Brown's birthday.
