It's the third straight time this season the Bulldogs have defeated the Raiders, but Tuesday's loss was by far the worst. Not only did it end the Raiders' season, Butler's 25 point margin of victory was the largest of the season over Wright State. In the teams' previous two meeting Butler only won by 12.

The Raiders have now lost seven straight to the Bulldogs dating back to February of 2008. The last time WSU won at Hinkle Fieldhouse was in January of 2005.

Head Coach Brad Brownell didn't hide his disappointment during the post game press conference.

"I apologize that we didn't play better."

The big difference in the game was Butler's ability to shoot from the outside. The Bulldogs were 9-19 from behind the 3-point arc while Wright State was just 2-20.

Wright State was in trouble right from the start as Butler made a 3-pointer to open the game and never looked back from there. WSU was never able to take a lead during the contest nor did they ever tie the game either.

Twice WSU was able to pull to within one of the Bulldogs, but that all they were able to manage on the night.

At halftime the Green and Gold trailed 28-42 and from there, the deficit only increased.

The Raiders were led in scoring by N'Gai Evans with 13 points while Vaughn Duggins contributed with nine. Cory Cooperwood also added nine points of his own to go along with his five rebounds.

Wright State ends the season with 20-12 record overall. It's the fourth straight season the Raiders have recorded 20 wins during the season. All of four of those winning seasons have come under the leadership of Brownell.
