Women Open Horizon League Tournament Play

The Wright State University Women's Team (10-8 HL/14-15 overall) will open play in the Horizon League Championship Tournament Wednesday the 11th against Valparaiso (10-8 HL/16-13 overall) in Indiana at 8pm.

The Wright State women who finished the regular season on a high note now will try to win the HL Championship. The Lady Raiders finished the season on a four game win streak. That streak started after their loss at Valpo 64-58, on Feb 8th. During the season they also beat Valpo at the Nutter Center 54-44. They need to do it again on Wednesday.

A win on Wednesday means the Lay raiders will advance to the semifinals on Friday. Unless there is a major upset, that game will be against Green Bay at Green Bay. Green Bay is currently undefeated in Horizon League play.

Hopefully Wright State will have all of its players available for the Championship. They need all the talent this team has to win the title.

For the women's championship, all the games are on HLN. The Final will be broadcast on ESPNU Sunday the 15th at 1pm. Wednesday the women will play at 8pm at Valpo.
